Encircled by crystal waters and coral reefs, Fowl Cay's idyllic seclusion recently inspired the mother of all impulse buys. Jaime Stewart, head honcho of the superluxe Royal Plantation Ocho Rios in Jamaica, fell in love with the island on a recent visit - and decided to purchase it. Now, Stewart has just announced that Fowl Cay's five guest villas, hilltop clubhouse, and private dock will become the Royal Plantation at Fowl Cay. A few summer paint licks are slated for the already stylish two- to three-bedroom villas. But a more radical makeover includes a "yacht club-style" restaurant, over-the-water guest pavilions and a spa. Until then, you might want to snorkel in nearby Thunderball Grotto -- named after the James Blond flick that filmed there -- and dive the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, a vast underwater preserve harboring 50,000 species of marine life
